Change Manager

The Release/Change Manager will play a key role in helping projects (change initiatives) meet business, schedule and budget objectives, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary focus will be creating and implementing change management plans. The Change Management Specialist will work to drive faster adoption, greater ultimate utilization and higher proficiency on the changes impacting employees in the organization such that business results are achieved. This is a fast paced and at times stressful job that requires off hours work as well as quick response and decision making capabilities. 

Roles and responsibilities:

● Coordinate day-to-day execution of the process.

● Facilitate change management meetings. Act as change approver for those changes discussed and approved in the technology CAB meetings.

● Identify required changes to the process and implements approved process changes. Assist in the development of change workflow to facilitate the process.

● Work with the tool set, Service Now and others in the capacity of SME

● Make Scripting Changes to processes

● Make workflow and other changes as needed

● Communicate process changes to the organization.

● Ensure post review of changes to evaluate if the change was successfully implemented and that the change process was followed.

● Ensure that changes are communicated in a timely manner.

● Ensure creation and distribution of Change Management reports including incidents caused by changes, incidents resolved by changes, successful and failed changes.

● Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the Change Management process.

● Provide continual mentoring to the IT support staff in the Change Management process. 

 

Qualifications

● 4 years experience in similar capacity with solid understanding of ITIL process.

● Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies

● Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.

● Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.

● Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.

● Excellent active listening skills.

● Problem solving and root cause identification skills.

● Strong analytic and decision making abilities.

● Must be a team player and able to work with and through others.

● Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.

● Experience with large-scale organizational change effort.

● Development and software configuration skills
