Leading multinational IT Sector currently looking out for candidates for the following position:
EUS Desk Side Engineer
Roles and responsibilities
- Providing end user support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and any other end user related assets for incidents reported or service request fulfillment
- Ensure resolutions given are acceptable for the users.
- Carry out the above support tasks within the timelines agreed with the support of correct use of internal systems/tools/resources etc
- Record & update trouble tickets/service requests with resolution information in a timely , accurate and clear manner. Provide root cause analysis on need basis
- Ensure calls / emails are responded as per SLAs defined.
- Escalate unresolved issues/requests to the appropriate teams; including IBM based research groups, Microsoft support, vendor support, etc.
- Adhere to the predefined guidelines of incident management /ticket resolution process
- Ensure strict adherence to all other internal and customer governed processes and procedures/best practices for effective service delivery
- Support any other specially assigned task/s on need basis
Basic skills required
- A minimum of 3 year with at least 1 year as senior desktop support engineer in a remote and onsite support environment.
- MCSA (Microsoft Certified System Administrator )
- Good Knowledge in Windows Platforms, Hands-on working experience in MS Windows 2000/2003/XP/ Vista / Win 7 / Win 8, MS Office 2000/2003/XP/2007/2010/2013,MS Internet Explorer, Antivirus Utilities, performance management utilities.
- Experience with wintel based workstations & laptops, printers, scanners, office automation software, network connectivity, and messaging software, preferably Outlook express and/or Lotus Notes.
- Proficient in using MS Office tools.
- Proficient with Blackberry & Lotus Traveler.
- Exposure to telephonic trouble shooting
- Competence in Microsoft Windows Desktop use.
- Windows XP / Vista / Win 7 / Win 8 OS troubleshooting.
- Excellent IT skills and a sound working knowledge of PC platforms.
- Broadband, dialup or leased line based internet connectivity trouble shooting.
- Email service based on Lotus Notes and other proprietary software troubleshooting.
- Office utility tools, antivirus tools, personal firewall tools or other business productivity tools troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge in Networking, Internet Protocols and Wi-Fi.
- Basic Knowledge in Networking LAN/WAN)
- Basic Knowledge in Hardware base troubleshooting.
