EXECUTIVE - TECHNICAL - RESEARCH & INNOVATION

The position is available at Stretchline (Pvt) Ltd which is a member of the MAS Group of companies, and the company
is situated in Biyagama. Stretchline manufactures and supplies one of the leading brands of Elastics in the world to
renowned retailers of Lingerie such as Victoria’s Secret, M & S, GAP, Nike etc. We are on the lookout for a dynamic
and an energetic individual to join the Research & Innovation team at Stretchline. The ideal candidate should be a
team player with proven out of the box innovative thinking and thriving for excellence and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

 Plan and execute from Innovative ideas to commercialization within the stipulated timelines.

 To be able to develop applications related to the apparel industry.

 Collaborate with the suppliers, external parties, Universities, and innovation organizations via open innovation plat-
form to create value to the organization.

Research and Innovation on technical and engineering process improvements and new technological platforms

Perform innovations via experiments, modifications, validation, pilot projects of the innovation department in col-
laboration with the internal Innovation team, product integration team and production teams

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Chemical and Process Engineering
would be beneficial

Knowledge and Experience in apparel and textile materials

Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously

Experience and knowledge in multiple scientific/engineering platforms
Ability to communicate in English

Having a track record of previous successfully commercialized innovation projects/patents/ or non-
commercialized prototypes will be an added advantage
