Fabric Technologist – MAS Intimates
Purpose of the Job
To manage all fabric technical activities from concept to bulk delivery which includes maintaining garment progress charts, and a proper filing system, whilst sourcing products in order to meet customer requirements.
Your duties include:
- Maintain garment progress chart for the team through fabrics/trims used reports and status reviews in order to provide guidance to the management
- Record all technical aspects of developments of each garment style and technical group through maintain filing systems on all specifications, test results of raw materials.
- Ensure colour management of the total garment by matching lab dyes /Bulks for all main Raw material & components of the garment
- Provide Raw material technical advice for customers, suppliers & factory teams in order to maximize the quality of the product
- Manage information seeking process through receiving and assessing specification/test results in order to satisfy end users and customers.
- Manage lamination development through deciding best route for lamination, establishing lamination specifications and standard reference samples in order to meet deadlines for each garment style
- Sourcing and developing raw materials to win and retain business while maximizing profitability for customer accounts.
- Engage in Technical claim resolutions as and when required.
- Accurately carry out pre- production with suppliers
- Conduct supplier evaluations to onboard suitable suppliers for MAS intimates.
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc Engineering (Textile Technology)
- Minimum of 2-3years’ experience as a Fabric Technologist
