News Writer (Remote Job Opportunity)

The Opportunity:

Ventures International is a Hong Kong based company looking for an online news writer for our client which is a fast-growing media company with offices in multiple international locations. We are hiring news writers who are looking to be immersed in a fast-paced news environment, writing articles across multiple verticals and global markets.

Responsibilities:

• Writing and editing news stories in a timely fashion

• Craft compelling headlines and summaries that capture the attention of a busy audience

• Use sound reporting skills to research and deliver content from appropriate sources

• Create content using AP style and follow its guidelines whenever appropriate

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent & versatile writing skills

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Experience with prior writing in AP style is a plus

• Familiarity or prior writing experience with The Associated Press Stylebook (AP style)

• Ability to write for a variety of audiences

• Personal initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Displays a positive work ethic and can work under tight deadlines.

• Intense familiarity and interest in current news events.
