Senior Developer
Location: Level 33, West Tower, World Trade Center, Echelon Square, Colombo.
Objectives of this Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in; PHP Laravel, AWS, NuXT, coupled with a deep understanding of software engineering principles and best practices. As a Senior Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet our business needs.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Architecture and Development:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance web applications using PHP Laravel, AWS, NuXT, and other relevant technologies.
Implement best practices for code quality, performance, and security.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, making recommendations for their adoption when appropriate.
Clean and readable code is important to you: You take to heart that people will spend more time reading your code than you’ll spend writing it.
You take ownership, have initiative, and are able to work on large projects independently.
Project Management:
Take ownership of project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritise and plan development efforts.
Perform code reviews and quality assurance to maintain high standards.
Documentation and Training:
Create and maintain technical documentation for code, processes, and system architecture.
Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a senior developer or similar role in a software development environment.
Strong expertise in PHP Laravel, AWS, NuXT, and other modern web development technologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make informed technical decisions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively.
A proactive and self-driven approach to learning and staying updated with industry trends.
